Winterspring Dawn 2026

Posted 2 days ago :: Last edited 16 hours ago by Frouzon

Winterspring Dawn

Winterspring Dawn is a holiday celebrating celebrating the renewal of the world of Owai-6! It highlights Alurizan youth, who are still learning how to find where they truly belong.

On the ancient steppes of Zae'ka, the Korso people lived in true balance with the grasslands. Always on the move, early spring foraging was an unavoidable reality, one needed to prepare food for times when the weather would turn harsh. Roots and tubers from plants stripped down by the local Merini were brought back and roasted, turned into a bitter drink and long lasting preserves, rich in nutrients and excellent for staving off malnutrition.
These historical traditions persist and are shared with todays children with the intention of helping them grow up healthy!

Modern day Winterspring Dawn has adapted with the times, melding both new and old into a holliday everyone enjoys- for it brings families and friends together to remember memories of old, and to make new ones!

Winterspring Dawn is a month-long celebration, and so the assoicated prompts and activities continue throughout the entire month.

The spring whispers your name on the wind to join in the turn of the seasons. The warmth of the Winterspring Dawn flows over the hills to chase out the cold and invites a revelatory renewal to the homeland of the Korso.

Floche

FLOCHE

Floche, a triangular ceramic token with a hole and rounded corners, the star of the show are the colourful embroidery threads wrapped around it, trimmed to manageable lengths and traded depending on the owner's hopes for the following year and vision of thier ideal future.

This coin can be exchanged for a variety of event specific items at the Bitters' Co-op shop or saved between events.

Collectables

Spend your floche wisely; each player can only craft one of each Dawn Collectable using the Blueprints available in Bitters' Co-op.

Each Winterspring Dawn Collectable is needed in order to trade them for a Redux Orb and Jewel Berry. This event allows you to collect both the turn-in prizes and a set for yourself!

Maybe in the future there'll be more items...✨

A special set of collectables are available during the event!

Crafting, & Foraging!

All players will be able to claim free weekly Commemorative Capsule at the Bitters' Co-op - open them for a chance at rare currency and more!! Additionally, users can use blueprints to craft additional Commemorative Capsules! Log in daily to forage and get all items needed to craft them.

Each Commemorative Capsule always contains:
Each Commemorative Capsule will also contain 1 of the following:

Crafting

The Crafting System and Blueprints allow you to assemble your foraged items into bigger, better items using ARC Lab's MAKR Machine. In each Commemorative Capsule you will find various items, such as limited-time Seasonal Produce, event currency, and everyone's favourite element: Astatine! Start crafting your Commemorative Capsule and see how luck rewards you!

Blueprints can be purchased the with event currency, Floche, in the Bitters' Co-op shop.

Cooking Pot

Cast from copper alloys for even heat distribution and covered in protective enamel, these vessels are designed to last a family a lifetime. The specifics of the shape vary based on culture and locale, but handles and a lid are a must, and most are big enough to feed a hungry, growing family. A sturdy Cooking Pot is necessary in order to craft several of the Collectables, and unlike other recipe ingredients, it is not single-use only!

You can purchase your own Cooking Pot at the Bitters' Co-op.

❗️ Before you start crafting! ❗️

Some recipes take multiple ingredient varieties, such as any produce item. Please make sure you have selected only the items you wish to use before you click 'craft' so you do not lose out on an item you want to hold on to! The crafting system will automatically select random items for these multi-item ingredient recipes, so you must double check to make sure it selects the ones you want to use and deselect the ones you do not want to use. We know this is a bummer, but it is an issue with the UI of the LoreKeeper Crafting extension and is completely out of our control.

We strongly recommend transferring any items you do not want to use in crafting to the inventory of a character, either a Xero or a Boolew, if you can! This will keep the items safe.

❗️ We will not be able to restore items for those who use them mistakenly, so please be careful when crafting. ❗️

Returning Seasonal Fruit

Available all month in the Bitters' Co-op!

Astera Thistle, Goodroop Fruit, and Nettaru Berry all make an appearance!

Users can purchase 1 of each fruit in the Bitters' Co-op. Additional fruits can be won at Jackpot Planet or found in Commemorative Capsules!

Event Foraging Location!
To help you find the items you'll need to craft Commemorative Capsules and other event items, we have a temporary Foraging location: Alluvial Delta!
This location only drops items needed for event crafting recipes and activities, as well as a rare chance for Astatine, Orbits and Comet Clusters.
162-image.png 233-image.png179-image.png
Commemorative Capsules, Blueprints, Seasonal Produce, and the Alluvial Delta location will no longer be available after
Tuesday, March 31st AT 11:59 PM EST / 8:59 PM PST

Event Prompts

Participating in these limited-time prompts to gain Orbits, extra raffle tickets for our Mega Raffle, and other special prizes!

Found Family

Youth is an important aspect of the Winterspring Dawn. Spring is a sign of life renewed, as such, celebration of the young, in addition to celebration of when one was young, became a key theme during the festival.

Due to their creation in a lab, a Xero’s youth may look significantly different from those who are born in more traditional ways. In order to ensure they are properly developing, they are kept in ARC-supported housing and schools, and later adopted out when they are deemed old enough. ARC tries its best to place every Xero in the perfect home for them, but it is up to you to share your Xero’s story of their youth.

Write about your Xero's adoptive parent(s) and what their life was like growing up!

More Prompt Information

In Stitches

Before written history, the Korso would pass down tales through pictographic patterns, and the importance of this method of storytelling remains. While many species of aliens occupy the Alurizan Reserve, the traditions of the Korso shapes the culture these aliens all share. As such, aliens of all kinds will share stories of their youth with one another during this holiday.

Draw or create a  flag showing at least three (3) life events that your Xero went through, and then write a quick blurb abiut each event.

How long will the old site be up?
The old website (projectxero.org) will be unavailable after January 4th, 2026.

Why was the site remade?
There are a multitude of reasons as to why we have decided to remake projectxero.org entirely.  Mainly, the new site, aluriza.org, gives complete control over to our new coders. (Trixon and Chimerasite) This means in the future we can regularly update our website by adding new extensions, customizing code, and most importantly... verify emails so new users can join again! The URL switch also allows us to expand past just Xeros and into the other species found on OWAI-6.

How are you SURE everything was pulled from the original website?
When this change is live, projectxero.org will have been put into maintenance mode. We have pulled all of the site information to transfer over to aluriza.org, to ensure that everything is there. This includes timestamps, such as character or account creation dates. Gallery images have been retained as well.

Twilight Carnival 2025!

Posted 4 months ago :: Last edited 1 month ago by Chimerasite

Twilight Carnival

Twilight Carnival is a holiday celebrating the founding of the Root Logic! It highlights the delicate balance of give and take the Alurizians and the planet participate in daily.

It is said that long ago on the eve of the Reserve’s founding, Alurizans wore long hooded coverings and masks to ward off the Blight’s plague. Their clever disguises are what allowed them to win the war. These days, it's not known if that is truth or legend, but the tradition continues, and many Alurizans sport varying costumes as they navigate the Carnival grounds.

Due to the memory of hardship after the war, Alurizans are reminded to be thankful throughout the month with many small gestures, such as the tradition of giving small gifts to loved ones or those you appreciate. Gifts are often hand-crafted goodies, like homemade treats, small carvings or paintings, handmade pottery, etc. but gifts can really be anything the individual wants to give.

Alurizans may also find a bounty of wonderful traditional recipes cooked up with all the harvested food and foraged ingredients. Some dishes can only be tried during the Carnival due to harvesting limits on wild fungi and nuts. Excess produce and forage is always shared with the wild areas, providing a pre-winter source of food to many animals and fertilizing the land.

Twilight Carnival is a month-long celebration, and so these features of food, gifts, and costumes continue throughout the entire month.

The evening air may be brisk, but the warmth of the Twilight Carnival calls all out for celebration and fun! Taking a stroll down one of the many streets of downtown, you'll find bustling market shops decorated in the traditional harvest colors and adorned with spectacle artwork in the form of eye-catching Lantern Fruit carvings.

A New Starter Prompt!

We have a new Starter prompt! Greenhouse Gifts can be completed once per user to receive a Greenhouse Coupon to help you on your way to customizing your Xero!

Draw or write about your Xero with a new trait and the fruit it comes from. It can be anything from daydreaming about snacking on a juicy spice plum and having a big plume tail to enjoying a lantern fruit smoothie and starting to glow. The only restriction is no Glitch or Subspecies traits - you must draw or write about a Greenhouse fruit and the trait it gives. After all, ARC doesn't sanction any of that glitch-stuff anyway... who is doing all of that?
This prompt can be submitted once per user!

Skyfire Festival 2025

Posted 8 months ago :: Last edited 1 month ago by Chimerasite

Skyfire Festival

The Nevriset B'Xhadari, roughly translated as the Honored Heavenly Skyfire Festival, or just Skyfire Festival for short, is an ancient Haddu tradition stemming from the days long before the formation of the Alurizan Reserve.

The name comes from the B'Haddu name for the sky, B'Xhadara, "The Honorable Heavens", and the Xha Nevri, or "Skyfire", an abundant phosphorescent mineral that has long been associated with the sky.

The indigenous Haddu are a nocturnal people and, thus, live their lives in the nighttime and dark underground caves. The holiday tradition begins at sunset with feasts, games, and revelry in the dying light. As nighttime falls, the fires are banked down to coals and things quiet down as people settle down into groups to observe the night sky. Traditional stories are shared by elders and teachers, songs and music are performed, and audio dramas are played out by actors as audiences lay out to watch the constellations and shooting stars while listening to tales unfold. Almost like a human’s music festival, one can move through the night to find other groups sharing other kinds of stories, with snacks, treats, and games along the way. The celebration ends as the sky lightens before dawn, as everyone heads off to bed.

★ Read more about the Festival! ★

While the name is often localized as simply the "Skyfire Festival", native Haddu speakers will find themselves actively transliterating the individual parts of the festival's name as "Sky" and "glow" respectively, while debating the best way to try to convey the "B'" honorific from their language. Many choose simpler words for brevity, while other philosophies argue that simpler translations lack the poetry and reverence of the original Haddu language.

Event Currency & Collectables

The Skyfire Festival features its own event currency, which can be earned from prompts and activities. Blueprints can be purchased with event currency in the Skyfire Exchange to create limited-time collectables.

Glim

 Glims
Glims, also known as Xhavrim in the Haddu language, these seasonal coins are used to participate in the Nevriset B'Xhadari. Each coin is considered its own work of art as they are still hand engraved and inlaid by the Haddu themselves. It can be exchanged for a variety of event specific items at the Skyfire Exchange shop or saved between events.

 Collectables
✨ A special set of collectables are available during the event!

Spend your Glims wisely; each player can only craft one of each jewelry piece using the Blueprints available in Skyfire Exchange.

Each piece of jewelry is needed in order to trade them for the Nevriset B'Xhadari Badge. This means that to start, you will only be able to collect either the Badge or the Jewelry Collectable Set, not both! You'll have to return to next year's Skyfire Festival in order to complete the other collection.✨

Crafting, & Foraging!

All players will be able to claim free weekly Festival Jars at the Skyfire Exchange - open them for a chance at rare currency and more!! Additionally, users can use blueprints to craft additional Jars! Log in daily to forage and get all items needed to craft them.

Blueprints can be purchased the with event currency, Glims, in the Festival Exchange shop.

Returning Seasonal Fruit

Available all month in the Skyfire Exchange!

Hake Nut, Mult Fruit, and Spikul Fruit all make a return!

Users can purchase 1 of each fruit in the Skyfire Exchange. Additional fruits can be won at Jackpot Planet or found in Jars!

New Foraging Location!
To help you find the items you'll need to craft Jars and other event items, we have a temporary Foraging location: Xhanevri Mines!
This location only drops items needed for event crafting recipes and activities, as well as a rare chance for Astatine, Orbits and Comet Clusters.

Skyfire Celebration

The Nevriset B'Xhadari, also known as the Skyfire Festival, has begun! Each member of AREZ will celebrate the festival in a different way. How does your Xero celebrate the Skyfire Festival? Will they stay up all night to view the stars and play games, or turn in early after too many snacks?

This event prompt can be completed by drawing or writing about how Xeros celebrate and participate in the festival.

You can learn more about the Skyfire Festival here!

More Prompt Information

Clay Creations

An integral component of B’Haddu culture is the creation of art using clay, which can range from vessels for everyday use, such as a pitcher or bowl, to decorative sculptures. Clay is a way of life in B’Haddu - it’s important to celebrate that!

Create a creature from the Xero world out of clay, or otherwise paint clay pottery you created. This can be created out of any type of clay, whether it is air dry, kiln fired, or even out of Play-Doh, but it must be created in the real world.

Lore questions

★ Who are the Haddu?

Haddu are reptile-like aliens. They are short and sturdy creatures, with thick legs, tails, and heads and smaller arms with highly dexterous digits that they used for writing, carving, and creating ornate jewelry. They have all-dark eyes much like a Hollow Xero, and their flat backs and tail are covered with overlapping armored scales, similar to an Earthen armadillo or isopod. Much like those Earth species, they can also roll into an armor-like ball, protecting their delicate arms and large brains. Along with their incredible night vision, they also have an extremely keen mole-like nose and sensitive antennae to help them navigate nighttime environments and dark tunnels. They evolved from a lizard-like ancestor many millions of years ago. As their brains evolved to get larger and larger, they honed their protective skills and dexterous hands to begin recording knowledge by clawing and marking rock cave walls. This allowed for more complicated language and tool use to evolve, and the Haddus grew to the culture they have today.

★ What is a Skyfire stone ?

The Skyfire stones are precious gems found only in B'Haddu. The abundance of localized groundwater allowed these unique, phosphorescent, crystallline structures to flourish. They are mined seasonally, and cave tours are available to the public too. The Haddu once believed that the Skyfire stones were left here by the stars, but with modern advancements showing Owai-6 as thier true orgins, this origin story is all-but left to fables.

★ What is the Skyfire jewelry set for?

The Skyfire Columbina, Collar, and Band are used during an ancient traditional dance called the "Midnight Ensemble". Although this dance takes place during the darkest hour of night, the Skyfire stones embedded in the jewelry pieces allow the performers to be seen from the farthest seats of the caldera. The glow of these ornamental costumes makes the wearer appear as if they are living embodiments of the cosmos.

★ The Midnight Ensamble?

The Haddu participate in an ancient tradition called the "Midnight Ensemble". This dance tells the story of how the stars guided the Haddu across the desert to settle in B'Haddu. Historically the Haddu believed the stars to be living beings, just like them, who had the ability to teach them secrets about their world. The Midnight Ensemble is a display of gratitude from the Haddu to the stars, a symbol of their everlasting friendship and a promise for continued their prosperity.

Woodland Xeros!

Posted 1 year ago :: Last edited 1 month ago by Chimerasite

A new Subspecies of Xero has been created!

Welcome Woodland Xeros!

In the process of finding a cure to help the Koronoks thrive in the wild, Dee experimented with both Koronok and Xero DNA...

a warm welcome to the tree-climbing Woodland Xeros!

Woodland Xeros are adapted to an arboreal lifestyle of climbing trees and hiding in tree hollows. With their lithe bodies and their special paw pads they are perfectly suited for gripping onto all kinds of surfaces and squeezing into tight spaces. Woodland Xeros love being up high and many have been found napping by wrapping their bodies around tree trunks or branches. However, their long bodies mean they cannot easily walk on two legs and instead get around on all fours most of the time.

Woodland Xeros are in the Anomaly category, so all three of these traits can be obtained by making a Woodland Xero with an Anomaly Xero ORB! If you wish to add these traits to your existing Xero or to another type of ORB please visit the Atelier shop to use the brand new Woodland Vial and Woodland Beaker

3 new woodland-specific traits!

Woodland Pads

Flat pads that cover the entire palm and sole of their paws allow Woodland Xeros to grip onto bark and foliage with ease while climbing, allowing them to get to higher elevations quicker. These pads are covered in the same setae as standard Xero paws, but the higher coverage gives them enhanced grip.
Woodland Tail

A Woodland Xero's long tail is the perfect counterweight to help them balance up in the trees. They're also extremely handy in helping them wrap around tree trunks and branches when climbing. While useful for traversal, some Woodland Xeros have found that it can cause quite a tripping hazard in their day to day lives.
Long Body

All Woodland Xeros have a greatly elongated body and shorter, more compact limbs. This adaptation allows them to squeeze into spaces that most Xeros cannot. Their long bodies also enable them to easily wrap around tree limbs with little effort.
